Late last fall, filmmaker Caroline J. Phillips spent a few days with the crew at the booze factory. 2016 was a major year for LDC – we grew our team to 9 people, launched a nano-distillery (Gray Wolf Craft) within our space, and invested in new, larger equipment. On the cusp of our 3rd anniversary, we wanted to capture the last days of operating without the benefit of our new 500G still and 520G mash ton.
The result: a wonderfully accurate look at what we do, and how far we have come. From start to finish, grain to glass, hand crafted to the extreme, we take pride in making stellar spirits from scratch, 7 days a week, nearly 365 days a year, right here on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Long days, sleepless nights, non-stop rum running and booze hustle – it’s been a wild ride, we can’t wait to see what come next.
